Her mother taught her two important lessons: "Always learn and be thankful for all" / 
Su madre le enseñó dos importantes lecciones: "Aprende siempre y estate agradecida por todo."

She is 109 years old, the oldest holocaust survivor. Even she overcame a cancer at the age of 83. Alice Herz Sommer suvived thanks to music, her optimism and her gratitude for the small kind things that come to her way.  Still practices piano for 3 hours every day. She had some books written about her life: "A Garden Of Eden In Hell" and "A century of wisdom."  /
Tiene 109 años, es la superviviente del holocausto más longeva. Incluso superó un cancer a la edad de 83 años. Alice Herz Sommer sobrevivió gracias a la música, a su optimismo y a su gratitud por las cosas pequeñas agradables que encuentra. todavía practica piano durante 3 horas todos los días. Se han escrito algunos libros acerca de su vida: "Un jardín del Eden en el infierno" y "Un siglo de sabiduría."

When asked what she had learned in her long life, she would reply: "To know the difference between what is important and what is not important.
Cuando le preguntan por lo que ha aprendido en su larga vida, ella responde: "A saber la diferencia entre que es importante y que no lo es".

And when asked about the secret of her longevity, Alice says: "I look where it is good."
Cuando le preguntan sobre el secreto de su longevidad, Alice dice: "Yo miro donde está lo bueno."
